English Premier League giants Manchester City are interested in spending big money to sign Portuguese international Rafael Leao from AC Milan.
After spending time in the academy of Amora and Foot 21, Leao joined the youth setup of Portuguese giants Sporting CP.
He then graduated from the Sporting academy and was promoted to the main team. The Portuguese winger stayed one more season in Sporting before joining French Ligue 1 team Lille.
In Lille, Leao soon cemented his spot in the starting eleven. The forward played only one season for the French outfit where he helped Lille to finish second in Ligue 1. After that, he joined Serie-A giants AC Milan for a reported fee of €35 million. Leao soon became one of the mainstays for the Rossoneri. In his third season with the club, he won the Serie-A title and was also adjudged the Most Valuable Player of the league.

Now according to Italian outlet Calciomercato, defending English Premier League champions Manchester City are interested to sign Portuguese forward Rafael Leao from Italian giants AC Milan.
Manchester City have assembled one of the greatest squads in the world of football. Pep Guardiola’s team possesses multiple quality players in every position. They recently added Erling Haaland to their squad who has been a mesmerizing signing for them so far.
But according to the reports, even after that, City gaffer Guardiola wants one more signing in the forward line. And for that, City management have targeted Rafael Leao from AC Milan.
Now Leao is the biggest asset for the defending Serie-A champions. AC Milan knows perfectly that many top clubs are eying for a move for the forward. In fact, just the last summer, they denied another English Premier League club, Chelsea’s bid.
AC Milan are currently looking to give an extension to the forward. But if he does not want to continue in Milan, they will probably sell him. In that case, they will ask for a transfer fee of at least €100 million
This however will not stop Manchester City from signing the forward. The Citizens have great monetary backing and passionate owners who are ready to spend big to improve their squad.
At 23, Rafael Leao is already a superstar in the football world. The winger is known for his pace, skills, and eye for goal. He is also adept at playing as a striker which he has previously done in Lille.
So if City manages to get hold of him, Pep Guardiola will surely have the best forward lineup in the world.
