English Premier League giants Manchester City are reportedly interested in signing German international Jamal Musiala from Bundesliga outfit Bayern Munich.
Born in Germany, Musiala joined the academy of Southampton in England at a very early age. The midfielder then soon became a part of Chelsea’s academy. Musiala spent eight years in Chelsea and then joined Bayern’s youth set-up
He then graduated from Bayern’s academy and played for their reserve team. After impressing with the second team, Musiala was promoted to the senior team. He then soon broke into the scenes and became one of the mainstays of the squad.
Musiala represented both England and Germany at the youth level and then finally decided to pledge his allegiance to the German national team.
According to a recent report from Calciomercato, English Premier League giants, Manchester City are interested to bring German International Jamal Musiala to the Etihad stadium.
Defending English Premier League champions Manchester City have built one of the strongest squads in the world. They have multiple quality players in every position. However, just like their manager Pep Guardiola, Manchester City management believes that change is the key to success.
Manchester City captain Ilkay Gudogan is going to end his contract at the end of the season. And so far there are no reports of a contract renewal. Then there’s Bernardo Silva who would like to move to Spain and is getting chased by Barcelona.
So manchester City are looking are looking at multiple midfielders and Jamal Musiala became the latest addition to that list.
Apart from the Citizens, another English team Liverpool are also keenly monitoring the midfielder. Both teams are also in the race for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham.
However, with Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester United involved in Bellingham’s transfer City and Liverpool are already starting to look at other alternatives. And now it seems like both of them have targeted the same player again.
Meanwhile, Jamal Musiala is considered a key part of Bayern. The midfielder has been one of the best performers for the Bavarians this season. He has a contract with Bayern that runs until the summer of 2026 and the Bavarians are in no mood to sell him.
With Musiala’s recent performances, it is expected that there will be multiple suitors for the young German midfielder. But that should not really trouble Bayern as the youngster himself is right now focused to stay in Munich for a long time.
