January transfer window will commence off and Manchester City had targeted four strikers from different clubs to bring at Etihad stadium.
Manchester City was busy with the Lionel Messi transfer saga during the previous transfer window. However, they are looking to bracing themselves by bringing different players in the January transfer window. As they failed to do so in the last summer.
Currently, they are not in the title race of the English Premier League but still hope to finish in the top four. So to strengthening themselves Pep Guardiola searching for different strikers across the globe to have a better comeback for the title race.
According to a report from Manchester Evening, Manchester City might bring four strikers on Etihad during the January transfer window. Lack of actions from the recent attackers on the field made Pep think again and again about the creative central midfielder.
Here is the striker’s list Manchester City may sign them in January
1. Memphis Depay:
Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman’s target Dutchman Memphis Depay is also the priority signing of the Pep Guardiola in the January. Pep told that if Memphis Depay gets at lower price then it will be a good side for the team no matter where he played before.
Before arriving at Ligue 1 club, Memphis Depay played for the Manchester United. Therefore, it will be tough to digest for the blue fans ahead of nametag former red devils player. Hence, rivalry between both the teams will put him under pressure before finishing the January transfer window.
2. Mario Mandzukic:
Former Juventus and Bayern Munich star under pressure due to no-one is signing him after the exit from Ligue 1 side Qatar. Manchester United wanted to sign him after the Juventus exit but he moved to Qatar and had only 10 appearances.
Similar to Cavani, Manchester City’s coach Guardiola also looking to have Mario Mandzukic in his squad. Also hoping to get the same type of performance from him. Though Pep fired Mario Mandzukic from Bayern Munich then also he wants to have him at Etihad stadium.
3. Arkadiusz Milik:
Since he rejected Napoli to extend his contract in the previous transfer window all the clubs are waiting for his move in the January transfer window. He is still 26 years old only and wanted to explore his career by moving to big clubs.
Due to his last days at Napoli and the question mark on his contract extension makes his transfer value very low. Therefore, Pep Guardiola is desperate to sign him at a lower value. Hence, his arrival at Etihad stadium will depend on his January transfer window.
4. Diego Costa:
Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa is the prime option for Pep Guardiola’s side. Their struggle for striker search might come to an end in this January transfer window if they move for the Spanish attacker.
However, he was in the top English Premier League striker range while playing for Chelsea before moving to Atletico Madrid. So there is no doubt about his form in England. His arrival at Etihad stadium might bring lots of changes to their current form.
Henceforth, all the transfer moves will come to know after the commencement of the winter transfer window. Therefore, Pep Guardiola needs to make lots of changes in his squad to be the part of top 4 for the remaining season.
