Manchester City News: The Club have concluded yet another successful business deal with Spanish club FC Barcelona this January transfer window. The Cityzens have successfully sold Spanish international Ferran Torres to Barcelona for £46.7 million.

This concludes yet another piece of transfer between the two teams who have good relations. Moreover, last season as well Manchester City provided Barcelona with Sergio Aguero and Eric Garcia. However, there is still potential for more business to be done.

FC Barcelona is currently looking for an experienced defender to fill in their ranks. Their defensive line is currently old and one which needs balance to challenge for titles. With Gerard Pique ageing and no other world class defender in their ranks, they need reinforcements.

And hence for this they have targeted the likes of Manchester City’s Aymeric Laporte. The Spanish centre back is a top class player and can definitely solve many of their problems. But once again the problem remains the high price tag of Laporte.

However, this issue can be solved using the likes of a certain Dutch international. Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola has made it no secret that he would like to deploy Frenkie de Jong in his team.

According to a new report by El Nacional, Pep Guardiola will be willing to let go of Aymeric Laporte given that De Jong can come in return. This can be a brilliant arrangement which will save both teams from further expenses.

Manchester City can definitely do well with the likes of a player like De Jong, whose playing style is similar to what Guardiola demands. Possession based play with a deep holding midfielder just in front of the defensive line.

Manchester City News: Benjamin Mendy shifted to a NEW JAIL amid security issues

Manchester City left back, Benjamin Mendy has been shifted to a new jail amid concerns over his security. Mendy, who was being housed in the Category B-HMP Altcourse in Liverpool, has now been shifted to a new jail in Manchester, the Strangeways, officially known as HMP Manchester.

Benjamin Mendy is currently under trial for nine counts of rape and one counts of sexual assault and molestation. According to an anonymous source, the new jail is rough and the inmates can cause problems to Mendy.

“He won’t know what’s hit him coming from Altcourse, which is a privately run prison. It’s one of the toughest jails in the country. His other problem will be the amount of Man United fans in there.”

“They will be screaming his name for weeks so he won’t be getting much sleep, especially as he’s charged with sex offences.”

“There are a lot of Blues fans there as well, but even the most avid will struggle to protect an alleged sex offender.”
