Manchester City news: The Cityzens manager Pep Guardiola has provided an update on Bernardo Silva’s future amid rumours about his exit.

Speaking to the media, Pep Guardiola admitted that he wants Bernardo Silva to stay at the Etihad Stadium next season.

He said: “I would love for Bernardo to continue, however, I don’t know what will happen. Players sometimes have a desire and I’m not a person to stop a person’s desire. I want Bernardo to stay here, 100%. We will see what happens”.

Silva has been linked with a move away from the Cityzens in recent weeks, with Barcelona and PSG among the clubs showing interest in him. According to the Mirror, the English champions will demand a transfer fee in excess of £80 million to sell Silva.

The Manchester-based club will look to continue its domination in the Premier League next season. They have spent close to £100 million on signing new players this transfer window.

Erling Haaland, Kalvin Phillips, and Stefan Ortega have joined them so far in this window. Guardiola is expected to bring in more fresh faces to the squad before the transfer window slams shut on September 1, 2022,
