Manchester City News: Pep Guardiola has been instrumental in making City one of the best teams in the world. But the Spaniard has now been offered the Brazil national team job with massive pay!
The Spaniard is easily one of the best managers in the world currently. Having started his managerial career at Barcelona, he helped the Spanish giants win two Champions League trophies among multiple other championships.
Following this, Pep Guardiola moved to Bayern Munich and then Manchester City. He has been successful at both the clubs domestically but has failed to win the Champions League up to this point.
Nevertheless, his managerial tactics have been spot on and his teams have been at their dominating best. Hence, the Brazilian national team would gain a huge advantage if Pep Guardiola decides to accept the offer!

As per the Mirror, Pep Guardiola has been offered the job of becoming the next Brazil manager. Hence it is very possible that the Spaniard could be leaving Manchester City to take up the international job!
Brazil’s current manager Tite has reportedly made it clear that he would be stepping down after the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar. The 60-year old has been the Brazil manager since 2016. Tite helped the Selecao in winning the 2019 Copa America title at home as well.
Owing to Tite’s departure, the Brazilian FA has now shifted their focus to Pep Guardiola. They are ready to offer him an annual salary of £10m as per reports and are looking to give him a contract until the 2026 FIFA World Cup as per reports.
But if Pep Guardiola agrees to sign for Brazil, the Selecao would need to wait until the end of the 2022/23 season to avail of his services. This is because the FIFA World Cup 2022 is in November. Hence, Guardiola would not leave Manchester City in the middle of the 2022/23 season.
Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City contract will also end in June 2023. Though the Spaniard is yet to decide his future, the City manager has stated that he is open to managing a national team!
The Netherlands FA had also reportedly enquired about Pep Guardiola a few months back. They want Guardiola, a disciple of Johann Cryuff, to bring “total football” back to its home after the Spaniard’s City contract ends.
