The Norwegian superstar suffered a foot injury while playing against his former team Borussia Dortmund during the fifth match week of the UEFA Champions League.

As a result, Haaland missed City’s weekend victory over Leicester City. He was also absent in the UEFA Champions League match against Sevilla. But now Erling Haaland has finally returned to training ahead of the Fulham match.

While addressing the media on Haaland’s injury, Pep Guardiola told, “Erling will not be available for tomorrow.”

“He feels better compared to Saturday and Sunday, but not 100 percent. We don’t want to take a risk as it makes no sense. Hopefully, he will be back for Fulham,” added the City gaffer.

In Erling Haaland’s absence, Argentine striker Julian Alvarez played a great match. Alvarez scored a goal and assisted twice in City’s comeback victory over Sevilla.

But now with Haaland’s return, the Norweigian will surely start in the striker position. There are only three matches left before the World Cup and Haaland will be keen to finish on top. Norway is not going to be a part of the World Cup. Hence Haaland will have a big rest after the Brentford match.
