Pep Guardiola‘s style is unique and not so critically acclaimed for premier league football. The Manchester City boss likes his fullbacks to be remained centered to fill up the gap.
While speaking to BT sports in March 2021, Pep explained reasons that the main reason for this tactic is that he likes to have more players in the middle to pass the ball.
“The main reason is to have more players – four, five, six players – to make short passes and [have] more control,” Pep explained his unique strategy to BT sports.
Marc Cucurella can be expected to adopt the same strategy if he decides to move to Manchester City this summer. The club is expected to make an offer soon to acquire the Spaniard.
