Manchester United Agree Deal For Two Defenders, As Jose Mourinho Looks To Change Things Around

Manchester United are said to have agreed a deal for two of their defenders. Yes, The Red Devils have not agreed a deal to sign a new defender instead its offload time for Jose Mourinho’s side. Now, United supporters may be saddened to hear the reports that Paddy McNair in a deal along with Donald Love will be heading for the exit door to Sunderland where Ex Manchester United boss David Moyes looks set to snap the pair.

Sky Sports reports that, “Sunderland have agreed a fee with Manchester United for defenders Paddy McNair and Donald Love”.

The report further states that McNair will move on a four year deal for a reported fee of £5m which could rise to £7m. And Donald Love will cost around £1m.The 21 year old Northern Ireland defender has played 27 times for The Red Devils in total and has shown genuine promise after making a good impression after he came on for the red carded Chris Smalling back at the Etihad against Manchester City. To be fair he did look as if he could become a proper United defender given time.

The case of Love is harder to asses from the outside. The 21-year-old had only played a couple of times for the Old Trafford side and was loaned out to Wigan in 2015.

If this deal takes place, it would also continue a rich tradition of transfers between the clubs with the likes of Wes Brown, John O’ Shea, Kieran Richardson, Danny Simpson and David Bellion who have all made transfers to Sunderland from United.
