Jose Mourinho will not be making the trip to the Stade de France to watch Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba play for his national side in the Euro 2016 finals against Portugal, though the midfield superstar is closing in on a deal to Old Trafford. The move which is expected to break quite a few records is expected to be completed once the competition ends on Sunday, with the Red Devils quite eager to bring back their former star to England.
With respect to his absence for the upcoming occasion, one of the Special One’s associates spoke to the media and simply stated, “He does not need to see him.”
Further, Starsport have added that the manager of the Premier League giants is all set to complete his fourth signing of the summer transfer window, by adding the 23 year old superstar, in a deal said to be worth £100m.
The ex United man was also wanted by the Manchester based club’s English rivals Chelsea, who failed to add him to their squad during the Portuguese manager’s regime at Stamford Bridge last summer.
However, it seems that the former Blues’ boss will finally want to get his man this time around, as he looks to win titles at the Theater of Dreams, in the seasons to come.
Apart from the clubs from the top flight of English football, newly crowned champions of Europe, Real Madrid, have also been eager to add Pogba to their squad in recent times and could once again try to get a deal done.
French publication L’Equipe has added that Pogba informed his friends already that he will be joining Mourinho’s side and the deal will be done soon, with a fee being agreed in principle, though Juve still have to give the nod for his exit. It will be interesting to see what happens next.
