Manchester United seems confident of completing Ivan Perisic deal even though they are short by £5 million of Inter’s asking price. Perisic has already agreed upon personal terms with the Old Trafford club but Inter has so far proved adamantine on their star player’s asking price.
Perisic has recently posted a cryptic picture on his Instagram with the caption- “#destinationunknown”.
Manchester United are still a few million short of Inter Milan’s asking price for the Croatian winger Ivan Perisic, but those close to the deal expect it to be completed for a fee around £45 million to £50 million over the next week.
It is understood that the Croatian winger appreciates and enjoys the work of Jose Mourinho and is keen on playing Champions League once again after 4 years of absence.
New Inter Milan boss Luciano Spalletti, who took over last month, has been publicly hopeful of keeping Perisic, and although Inter resisted cashing in on the winger, Spalletti admits that they will sit down to talk about his future.
Spalletti told La Gazzetta Dello Sport that the player hasn’t yet told him that he wants to leave.
” I will listen to him (Perisic). I’m counting on him but we will have to understand his intentions. It would not be nice for me to hear him say the words ‘ I want to leave’.
” Perisic is an important player for us, let’s see what he has to say. There will be fewer chances for those players who are distracted, and better opportunities for those who want to stick with Inter.”
Spalletti said.
Looking at what Spalletti spoke, we get a hint that Perisic is ‘ Distracted ‘ by the transfer talks and Perisic can still be a possible move to Old Trafford this summer.
