Manchester United are looking up for Ryan Gravenberch’s signature who boasts the same talent as Paul Pogba. The midfielder is the next sensation coming out from Ajax academy.

The Red Devils have a disappointing summer window with the recruits coming out of panic buying. Donny Van De Beek, Edinson Cavani, and Alex Telles were the prominent arrivals at Old Trafford.

Of them, Van De Beek was an interesting signing. The Dutchman cost the Reds £40m, bought from Ajax Amsterdam. Despite not being a starter in the team, the 23-year-old is believed to be a future star at the club.

Adding another upcoming talent to the list, Manchester United wants to bring in Ryan from Ajax as well. The youngster will bring in necessary depth and showcase his talent in driving the club’s future ambition with him.

Manchester United in pursuit

Manchester United are looking up for Ryan Gravenberch signature who boast the same talent as Paul Pogba.

According to The Mirror, the 18-year-old will cost the Red Devils just £10m. At this tender age, Ryan could turn out to be a bargain if the club from Manchester pulled off the deal. The Ajax prodigy has also drawn interest from Juventus and Barcelona.

A thing to mention over here, Manchester United did also bring two young prospects in the past window. Uruguayan talent Facundo Pellistri was secured while Amad Traore will join from Atalanta in January once his work permit is received. The club is on course to nurture young talents.

Interest in Ryan further proves it. Manchester United wants to go back to their philosophy of youth development. Something that has helped winning titles and build the club’s status on the world stage. Manager Solksjaer sees the same way.

Also, the friendship Manchester United share with Ajax can help to bring in the future star. Ajax’s CEO Edwin Van Der Saar is a Manchester United legend and has helped with the Donny Van De Beek deal in the summer.

Ryan the next Pogba

Gravenberch is compared to Paul Pogba of Manchester United

Moreover, Gravenberch is compared to Paul Pogba of Manchester United. His style of play is similar to that of the Frenchman. The midfielder is sensational on the ball and has acquired the qualities to be a prominent player in his career.

The way he dominates the midfield is excellent to watch. Ryan is also a goal threat and orchestrates passes while in a deeper region. He had already notched up 2 assist in 4 appearances this season.

He has recently signed a three-year contract with the club with Ajax reluctant to sell him at the moment. But the club from the Netherlands is facing a financial crisis because of the pandemic.

Added to that, Ryan has also signed to Mino Raiola. The super-agent who also represents Paul Pogba. So, Manchester United may have another upcoming talent in their bag if they are able to field a proper plan to regain lost prestige.
