Having only gained 11 points from 8 games, Manchester United are in need to sign new players in the winter transfer window.
Here is a list of players Manchester United would be looking to sign to improve their disastrous run of form.
1.Ousmane Dembele (Barcelona)
Dembele has not settled well since the summer in Barcelona. He describes the sort of young, star player that Manchester United would want to bring in under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. There was the talk of him being transferred on to the French side Paris Saint Germain. This was as a make-weight for the Neymar transaction but nothing developed. Furthermore, a red card against Sevilla was considered as another shaky trip for him despite Barcelona’s win. While his talent is unquestionable, Manchester United may be reluctant to sign another player. With the likes of Paul Pogba already at the club, this would create better chemistry for both the French stars.
2.Mario Mandzukic (Juventus)
The Croatian sourdough was close to joining Manchester United in the summer and has been extensively cast-away at prevailing club Juventus as boss Maurizio Sarri looks to lead them into a new campaign. Having sold Romelu Lukaku to Inter Milan, the Reds of Manchester were in the market for a substitute and it looks like both the teams are mourning the unsuccessful transaction. Paulo Dybala, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Gonzalo Higuain are all ahead of Mandzukic in the pecking order. Therefore, a short-term transfer in January would give Manchester United some much-needed exposure up-front.
3.Sean Longstaff (Newcastle United)
It was the essence of aspirations for Sean Longstaff as Newcastle United beat the Red Devils at St James’ Park with his sibling Matthew Longstaff after netting the winner. However, Longstaff elder clearly illustrated why Manchester United was after his services. He was bossing the midfield, head, and shoulders over the duo of Scott McTominay and Fred. The Newcastle institute grad admitted having his ‘brains changed’ due to Manchester United’s affair and will have a judgment to make if they come back for him in January.
4.Moussa Dembele (Lyon)
Moussa Dember is just 23 years old and already more dangerous than every one of Solskjaer’s alternatives upfront. He outlines the kind of presence and experience that Manchester United is severely requiring. Marcus Rashford has frustrated, Anthony Martial has been injured, and Mason Greenwood is still too immature. As a result, Moussa Dembele might be the answer to United’s distress. He was commanded to be the one deal that Manchester United was close to getting over the line in the summer.
5.Bruno Fernandes (Sporting CP)
The Sporting player was disregarded by many a club in the summer but has continued to blaze in Portugal. He has 2 goals and 2 assists in 2 games mean he has already picked up where he left off. At just 25, Bruno Fernandes could be the tailor-made artistic player that the Red Devils need He is the kind that could have unhitched the monotonous game at St James. Vacillation costs them in the summer but should they choose to move for the Portuguese international, they would certainly face strong conflict.
