The Search for No.9 of Manchester United is still continuing, as they are monitoring another English star from a different league. According to football journalist Simon Phillips, the Red Devils are ready to splash money for the former Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham.
The England international left the Premier League last summer and has been linked with a return from day one of this summer transfer window.
After signing Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan, Chelsea lost their purpose of retaining their academy product.
Though the striker had other Premier League options, he decided to join Jose Mourinho’s Roma, as the Portuguese manager was very keen to get him. Abraham replaced Roma’s star striker Dzeko who decided to join Inter Milan.
Tammy Abraham’s Fiery Form

During his time at Chelsea, he spent three seasons on loan at Bristol City, Swansea City, and Aston Villa. During Frank Lampard’s stint, he was getting a good amount of game time. He scored 30 goals and provided 12 assists at Chelsea. But after Tuchel’s arrival, his game time got limited, and spent most of his time on the bench.
Jose Mourinho found the perfect opportunity to bring him to his new Roma team for a reported fee of £34 million. The Blues has an option of buying the striker back for £68 million as a buy-back clause in his contract.
The striker had a successful first season at Roma, as he scored 27 goals in 53 games with 6 assists. He also won the Europa Conference League with Roma.
Link to Manchester United

Manchester United is looking at him as a solution to their striker problem. They want to bring him to Old Trafford to lead the attack of Erik Ten Hag’s team. According to Calciomercato, Abraham impressed Ten Hag. The manager did focus on signing Antonio from his former club Ajax. But may return for the English striker very soon.
Ronaldo’s future is in doubt, as the Portuguese have expressed displeasure with his current team. Martial is also another injury-prone player who rarely features in the games as a starter.
Reports suggest that Manchester United has already made a contact with the striker’s representatives ahead of next summer.
Journalist Simon Phillips told GIVEMESPORT: “I am told that Manchester United is keen on signing Abraham in the summer.”
Manchester United are also monitoring another Serie A superstar Rafael Leao, as they want to add more attacking options to strengthen their goal-scoring department.
Abraham has scored 119 goals in his senior career during his numerous spells with different clubs. He is a capable goal-getter with Premier League experience which will help Manchester United a lot.
