Manchester United winger Daniel James has already had enough at the club. He is currently not a main player for the Red Devils at the moment. The Welshman relished a great time on the turf at Old Trafford in the previous season of the English Premier League.
But this time around, he couldn’t get enough playing time. The 23-year-old player has made only 10 match appearances across all competitions in the first half of this season. The Welsh winger has been warming up the bench more often than not.
The 23-year-old’s last competitive match appearance came in the FA Cup clash against Watford earlier this month. The young player has had a tough season at Man United with his game time drastically reduced.
However, the bright young prospect could be an important part of Ole Gunnar’s plans in the next half of the season. James could yet have a big role to play for the Red Devils amid a tightly-packed schedule.

While addressing the reporters at the press conference, Solskjaer conceded that he has no plans of sending James out on loan this month. It is said that Leeds United have shown a great deal of interest in the young winger.
Giggs admits James’ frustration
Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs is very much aware of the fact that James has struggled for game time for the Red Devils this season. Meanwhile, Giggs had his say on the current situation.
Giggs expects the Welsh winger to be frustrated by his lack of gameplay for Man United so far this season. With Leeds United showing interest in James, Giggs reckons James should any opportunity which might come to his path.
“We are in unknown territory. Where you don’t have a lot of time. A lot of games squeezed into a short space of time,” the Wales manager Ryan Giggs told Stadium Astro.
Ole would take the safe option: Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs
However, Ryan Giggs doesn’t think that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would offload players on loan this season. Giggs reckons Ole would take the safe and secure option and keep as many best players in the club. One can’t predict the future and at any time players may get injured.
So, it is best to keep the best players with the team “So, I think Ole would take the safe option and keep as many quality players in the club as he can,” Giggs added in a statement.
Talking about James, Giggs admits Daniel James’ current frustration at the club. “Yes, it would be frustrating. I know that Dan is frustrated. Just like any other player who isn’t getting regular football,” Wales manager added in a statement.
The former Manchester United legend also echoed that it is important to take the chance that comes in your way when you are playing for the Red Devils. “But when you are at a big club like United when you get the chance take it,” Giggs concluded.
