Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is getting a huge upgrade to his Manchester United squad this summer. The Reds have been pretty busy so far making some key signings. The most highlighted deal being the Jadon Sancho deal. Which they have been trying to seal for over a year now.

United were able to agree to a €90m + add on deal with Borussia Dortmund. And are likely to announce Sancho’s arrival in the coming week. In addition to Sancho, United are also close to signing Raphael Varane and Kieran Trippier.

The arrival of the defensive duo will help solve United’s problems in the back-line. While also adding more competition for the players. Manchester United are also planning to make certain upgrades for a couple more positions.

Hence, the Red Devils will have to make space for new arrivals. As a result, it is expected that Manchester United may sell a few of their stars this window. The most likely out going players are listed below by the Twelfth Man Times.

List of players Manchester United is ready to let go:

Jesse Lingard

After failing to impress Ole Gunnar last term, Lingard spent the second half of the season at West Ham on loan. Despite his fall out from United, Lingard was able to impress David Moyes. The 28-year-old was able to provide the Hammers with 9 goals and 5 assists in 16 apps. This display of top form did earn him a spot in the England squad for Euro 2020.

However, Lingard is currently back at Manchester United after his loan spell came to an end. But, West Ham are keen to get the player back this summer. However, Manchester United are planning to sell him only for £30m, via Mirror. The Hammers find the price too high as Lingard has just a year left on his contract with United.

Andreas Pereira & Diogo Dalot

Andreas Pereira is yet another player who was unable to get on the good side of Ole. Hence, he spent his last term out on loan at Lazio. Pereira was able to impress the Italian club as they tried to get him on loan for one more season. However, United are pressing Lazio to make a permanent deal.

Pereira is likely to make an exit this summer as he is still surplus to Manchester United. Also, with the arrival of Bruno Fernandes, trying for a spot in the squad has become harder. Being just 25 years of age, Pereira is not keen to be a bench-warmer at Manchester United. Hence, he is hoping to get a ticket away from Old Trafford.

Diogo Dalot is also likely to make an exit this summer, after spending his last term at AC Milan. Helping the Serie A side finish in the top-four position. Similar to the case of Pereira, Milan are keen on bringing back Dalot on another loan deal. However, Manchester United are pressing for a permanent deal. With Dalot also not in Ole’s plans, we may see him leave soon.

Alex Telles

The Brazilian wing-back was signed from Porto last term to add competition for Luke Shaw. And also as a suitable replacement for the Englishman in the future. However, Telles was unable to out perform Luke Shaw. The English footballer has been at his best for both Manchester United and England in recent times.

Hence, it seems like Telles may not be able to secure a spot in the United lineup anytime soon. As a result, Manchester United are recently showing interest in shipping him away. There has been interest from various clubs recently. With Inter Milan being the first club to have shown a liking towards him.

But it seems like Inter are not planning to make a move for now. However, the now Jose Mourinho-led Roma are showing some interest in the player. If the Italian side does come knocking out a genuine deal, United will not turn them down.
