Manchester United News: According to Ralf Rangnick, new Red Devils manager Erik ten Hag may benefit from a lack of European football next season.

The Red Devils’ chances of finishing in the top four have vanished, according to interim manager Rangnick, after they dropped to sixth place, six points behind Arsenal, who have a game in hand.

However, Rangnick said that Ten Hag missing out on the Europa League and Europa Conference League could benefit him in terms of giving him the time he needs to rebuild United’s roster.

Jurgen Klopp’s first full season at Liverpool did not include any European games. He was able to guide the Reds to fourth place, similar to Louis van Gaal’s first year at United. “It could be an advantage,” Rangnick added, “but it doesn’t mean we’ll give up any of the remaining four games.”

“It’s evident and our responsibility for us. This is our job, my job, the job of the players, to try to achieve the greatest possible results. We will see where we finish at the end of the season. It’s pointless to discuss whether or not that would be advantageous right now.”

“It’s critical for me that we obtain results and play as well as we can because the environment and tone for the upcoming season will be affected.”

Rangnick also confirmed his intention to return to United as a consultant next season, saying, “I’m looking forward to working in that advisory role and obviously helping Erik as much as he wants it himself,” adding,
