Manchester United News: Roy Keane Labels Arsenal Manager Mikel Arteta ‘Sore Loser’ After 3-1 Win

Man Utd news: Roy Keane has criticized Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta for not giving credit to the Red Devils for defeating them.

Arsenal’s perfect start to the Premier League season was brought to a close by Man Utd. The Old Trafford-outfit hosted Arsenal and inflicted a 3-1 defeat on the visitors.

Arsenal had gone into the fixture with 100% win record this season, having won all five games they had played. However, they could not extend that winning run as Man Utd emerged victorious.

Antony, who was making his Man Utd debut, put the hosts ahead in the 35th minute before Bukayo Saka restored parity on the hour mark. Marcus Rashford gave Man Utd the lead again in the 66th minute before sending them 2 goal up in the 75th minute.

Keane, who is a Man Utd legend, criticized Arteta for not giving credit to the Red Devils for their win over Arsenal. He also labelled Arteta a ‘sore loser’.

“I’m fed up with all of their excuses Arsenal, I’m serious. Arteta gets interviewed after, listen, he’s a sore loser like us all,” Keane said on Sky Sports.

He added: “But he’s got to give a little bit of credit to Manchester United and he never does. Let’s not make excuses. He lost the game 3-1. You can take the plaudits but give me the points any day of the week.”

Meanwhile, Arsenal also had a goal ruled out for foul in their match against Man Utd. Arsenal thought they had taken the lead when Gabriel Martinelli scored in the 11th minute.

But VAR advised referee Paul Tierney to look into the replay for a possible foul. Tierney then ruled out the goal after he adjudged Martin Odegaard to have fouled Christian Eriksen in the build-up to it.
