Manchester United has quite a busy summer transfer window as they are looking to build a team to challenge for the premier league title this season.
Chile International Alexis Sanchez has been outstanding for the national team in the Copa America. Manchester United is looking to sell Alexis Sanchez for the suitable buyer in the summer but can keep him beyond the transfer window because of lack of suitable buyer.
Sanchez was unable to perform for the United in his 18- months stay at the Old Trafford and scored only twice last season. Alexis contract runs until 2022 with United.
Chile coach Reinaldo Rueda claimed Sanchez doesn’t share a good emotional bond with United teammates as he shares with Chile national team players.
Alexis Sanchez suffered injury in the third place playoff win over the Argentina. He started only 19 times last season for the Red Devils scoring only two times in that period. United boss is looking to sell the players but his enormous wage is creating problem in finding a buyer. Solskjaer is preparing to get him ready for the final pre-season games.
United Boss said, “I don’t think Alexis’s injury was too bad. When he’s due back – three weeks after the last game – so when we come back from the tour he’s due back. “I would expect him to be fit enough to play straight away and train straight away.”
The transfer window closes on 8 august and United have a decent time to sell Sanchez in case of any offer for him. The arrival of Daniel James further lowers down the chance of playing for Sanchez. Solskjaer added, “We had four players in double figures [last season]. Of course, that’s great, we don’t rely on one to score 30 or 40 goals.
“But of course we’ve got Anthony [Martial], Rom [Lukaku], Marcus [Rashford], you’ve got Alexis chipping in more, Mason [Greenwood]’s due a breakthrough, I think Dan James is going to chip in with goals.”And the more players you get in double figures, great.”
Manchester United have a lot of Quality attackers but they are not able to stand-up for the big occasions. Alexis Sanchez was not able to perform to his capabilities in his stay at United.
Manchester United decision to let go of Sanchez can be good for both the players and the club. It will give more opportunity for the young player to step-up for the big occasions.
