With a stumbling start to the new season, Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho has confessed that there are a lot of changes that are needed at the club and that he needs get some of his own players to get the club going again.
The Portugese has identified Bayern star, David Alaba as one of the pieces of his Manchester United jigsaw puzzle and he sees him as a huge part of his plans.
According to The Mirror, the English record champions are ready to splash some more cash in upcoming January window and the next summer to let Mourinho mould the team in his ways.
Alaba is one of the best full-backs in the game currently and is huge part ot Bavarian setup. He has featured at almost every position at Bayern, from fullback to centre back to defensive midfield and marauding to attacking midfield.
The report in England suggests that Manchester United scouts have been watching the Bayern’s versatile star in recent weeks and also were monitoring his international team-mate Julian Baumgartlinger for Austria against Republic of Ireland during the recent International break.
Although it’d be very difficult for the Old Trafford outfit to lure Alaba away from one of the best clubs in Europe and current German Champions. Also, Bayern Munich re not known to let their players go and are not a sellinh club at all so all of it makes hard for the 3 times Champions League winners to get their man.
But, in recent past Manchester United management has cracked some of the biggest deals in world football and have got the players under the noses of the world’s elite clubs.
Manchester United will be ready to pay whatever it takes if Jose Mourinho sees Alaba as a huge part of his plans, going by the performances of the Austrian for Bayern so far in his career, he will be a huge addition and will give United a major lift defensively and also to the balance of the side. His versatility to fit anywhere on the pitch given the situation is arguably the best in the world, also he’s one of the best at finding the back of the net from the dead balls.
Manchester United currently have to play a fullback as a centre-back, a winger as a right back, a right back as a left back and Jones as their main central defender. Although, Mourinho has highlighted certain players to give a lift to his side in January to help Manchester United finish at a better position this season.
