Manchester United regret signing their star forward Romelu Lukaku from Everton and have made an offer for another Premier League star.
The 24-year-old had a sensational start to the Premier League campaign, scoring freely for club and country before stagnating. Between August and October, Romelu Lukaku scored in every single game he played for both Manchester United and Belgium, baring only one match. However, since then the Belgian international has suffered from a goal drought, with only five goals in his last 18 games in the Premier League.
However, according to a sensational report from Spanish news outlet Marca[via the Express], the Red Devils already regret signing the Belgian international from Everton. It further adds that Harry Kane was Jose Mourinho’s first target, and the club even went so far as to offer the Englishman double his £100,000 a week salary, along with a massive transfer fee.
But with the club reportedly unhappy with the 24-year-old former Everton striker, it looks like Manchester United could make a stunning move again for Harry Kane. Marca, further adds that the Red Devils have offered 2017’s highest goalscorer more money than before with Jose Mourinho insistent on signing the Tottenham star.
However, while Kane did reject a move during the summer out of loyalty to manager Mauricio Pochettino, the Argentine could leave Tottenham at the end of the season. Reports and rumors have linked him with a move to Real Madrid, and Harry Kane is now said to be considering a potential move to Old Trafford.
Kane has been linked with a move to both Real Madrid and Barcelona, and also currently sits in the lead for the Premier League’s golden boot with 23 goals in just 26 appearances for the White Hart Lane side. However, with Zinedine Zidane and Florentino Perez looking for their next set of Galacticos, the two have shortlisted a potential replacement for Karim Benzema to Inter Milan’s Mauro Icardi, RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner and Harry Kane.
Romelu Lukaku has had his troubles in front of goal this season, but spending an obscene amount of money again for another young and talented striker makes no sense, especially after Jose Mourinho has put his trust in the Belgian. Then again, Harry Kane is one of the best in the world, let alone the Premier League and bringing him in would be a brilliant move.
