Ace midfielder Paul Pogba has revealed his admiration for Barcelona talisman Lionel Messi.
The Argentine international has been immense for Barcelona once again this season as he has already notched up 35 goals and 16 assists in all campaigns. Messi has guided Barcelona to the La Liga summit and helped the Catalonians ease past Chelsea to make their way into the Champions League quarter-finals.
And Pogba, who has struggled to make any impressions under Jose Mourinho in his second season at Manchester United, has hailed praise for the 30-year-old attacker. United was recently dumped out of the Champions League by Sevilla, who as it stands, reached the Copa Del Rey final where they will face Barcelona at the end of April.
Pogba on Messi
The 25-year-old Frenchman recently spoke to TyC Sports and explained his admiration for the five-time Ballon d’Or Winner, “Messi and football are two things that go together, I enjoy watching at him, he does things that nobody does.”
“He has a stature that nobody has, something special for him, everything is special. He’s a player who has football inside him, who feels it, it’s incredible”, added Pogba. Having made these statements, Pogba has already been linked with a move to the Camp Nou.
Author’s Take
Most of us consider Messi to be one of the best players of this generation and a lot of people enjoy watching him play. Pogba is spot on with what he said, but he needs to focus more on his own game as his performances of late have been far from eye-catching, not worth the record fee they paid for him.
