Paul Pogba’s agent has now revealed that his client will not be leaving Old Trafford, prior to winning the Premier League title with the Red Devils.
Mino Raiola has been really active in speaking out about the French international’s future in Manchester, with rumours of a potential exit on the cards in recent times. The former Juventus man, who is still considered one of the best midfield players in the world of football has been unhappy with the way that Jose Mourinho has been utilizing his services.
He has been demanding more game time based on the form that he was in, prior to his injury this term. It may, however, be pointed out that the change in the lineup is mainly due to a vast difference in form before and after the injury.
With the rumours that have been going around for so long now, it seems that the play-maker’s agent has finally had enough and has now silenced the claims of a potential exit, with this statement. The super agent played down all claims of a potential exit, in his interview with Italian TV station Rai Sport, which would be good news for the team and the fans at least.
Manager Jose Mourinho needs every player that he can have till at least the end of the current campaign, after which he can make the decision about Pogba’s future, following the World Cup. The Manchester based side are still part of the Champions League, where they will be facing off against some tough competition, if they beat Sevilla and advance to the next rounds.
With fatigue and injuries bound to happen towards the end of a long season, it will be up to the Portuguese boss to shuffle his players around and keep the balance right. Due to this, he can’t lose the confidence of one of his top players, which would bring down the morale of the entire squad. Even if Pogba must go, Mourinho will want to ensure that he leaves on good terms and that the club can cash in on his services, with a host of top European clubs still keen on buying him.
