Real Madrid may have been dealt another blow in terms of signing Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea.
The Spanish shot-stopper has established himself as debatably one of the best keepers in the world and has been on Real Madrid’s wish-list for quite a while now. De Gea’s stellar performances between the posts for Manchester United have literally kept the English giants in 2nd spot on the Premier League table.
And the Red Devils will have a massive job on their hands to keep him away from the Los Blancos in the summer despite dropping a few positive hints on his speculation. De Gea was extremely close to joining the La Liga champions back in the summer of 2015 but had to stay back at Old Trafford after a deal did not go through in time.
De Gea Gives United A Boost-
The 27-year-old has claimed that he is happy at United and the Premier League side is ready to cash in on that by offering a mega deal to keep him away from the European champions. Speaking during the international break, the Spain number one between the sticks said,” I get more things from England than from here [in Spain],”
The former Atletico Madrid keeper went on to add, “The love is enormous that they give me in England and that’s why I do not notice it so much here.”
However, the stubborn European giants will just not go away from their prime targets and De Gea has constantly been linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu as a long-term replacement for Keylor Navas between the sticks. But De Gea may have put Madrid in the waiting again after making a few comments about his own future.
Author’s Take-
De Gea has proved time and again that he is United’s best man in defense, the Spaniard has been tremendous for Jose Mourinho’s side and this is a massive boost for the Red Devils to offer him a new deal regardless of his pay demands. In all honesty, De Gea deserves to be a Galactico.
