Standing at 191cm, the Serbian is seen as one of the hottest rising stars in Italy, which has made clubs like Chelsea and Liverpool take interest in him. However, United are wanting to strike first by attempting to bring the youngster to Old Trafford next season. It is said that their scouts were present for his game against Sampdoria, where he helped his side from a goal down to go on and win the game 2-1, thus impressing the United scouts. The former Genk star is generally very good in winning aerial duels, and this makes him a natural replacement for Marouaine Fellaini who is expected to leave the club for free next summer.
Mateja Kezman, the players agent, has claimed that Savic is not for sale at any price, and these rumours will bring changes to the harmony in the dressing room in a negative way. Rumours suggested that, Juventus had already shown interest in the player by placing a 60 million bid on the table, which was rejected.
The player signed a contract 6 months ago which means he is very much happy with the club. However with a big club like the Red devils, rich in wealth and talent, knocking at your door and with a manager like Jose wanting you to be a part of his team, who would say NO?. United will have to make a club record bid of 95 million if they have any chance of landing him next summer. Whether Savic will be making a switch to United is a very tricky question for now.
