Manchester United is looking to sell Smalling, Pogba and Dalot. Ole is looking to get cash potential signing of Sancho and Saul.
Manchester United has been active in the past transfer windows in both signing and selling players. The club is under one of its former players as their and is currently going through a rebuild.
Paul Pogba is one of the leaders in the locker room. Early indications suggested that United were keen to hold onto him, but it seems the narrative has taken a turn. Paul Pogba will be in the final year of his contract with United come August.
According to a report from the DailyStar, Manchester United has refused to trigger the 12-month extension in Pogba’s contract which could see the star at united till 2022.
Extending his contract could have assured United a 90 million Payout for the Frenchmen, but they chose the latter. Pogba had an injury-plagued season where due to his persistent ankle injury he only made 8 appearances. We have only seen flashes of his brilliance at United and the club isn’t sure of what they might get in the future.
Real Madrid, Juventus and Inter are primary candidates in the race for Pogba. United are accepting offers and are supposedly asking for a price of £70 million for the Frenchman. This could be another case where they would be incurring a loss as they signed him for £89 million.
Dalot targetted by Spurs
Diogo Dalot joined United in 2018 for a fee of £19 million in 2018. He was considered as one of the exciting prospects in the game but has been struggling with game time. Aaron Wan Bissaka has secured the right-back position which doesn’t leave much scope for Dalot. The club is willing to offer him a contract extension but the decision lies upon him.
Tottenham and PSG are on the lookout for the 21-year-old. Jose Mourinho in a statement said, ” Dalot is the best player at his age” and is interested in signing him. PSG are also keeping tabs as Meunier’s contract is set to expire.
United is asking for a price of around £30 -35 million. The Portuguese could be seen leaving come summer.
Smalling wants to play in the Champions League
Roma currently sits at fifth, 3 points from the 4th spot, and United are also battling for a place in the Champions League.
Roma’s hope for Smalling depends upon them getting a spot for the Champions League and for United to not. On the other hand, Ole in a statement said that they want Smalling to return after the loan spell but will respect the player’s decision. United has reportedly set a price of around £25- 30 million for Smalling.
