Jack Grealish is involved in a drunk driving case and this has prompted Manchester United to search for alternatives

Manchester United seemed all set to secure the deal to sign Jack Grealish from Aston Villa in the summer. The English international was the Red Devil’s primary transfer target. The talent he possesses would have been greatly vital for United.

However, Grealish recently found himself in trouble with law enforcement as he crashed his car by driving while drunk. Grealish crashed his £80,000 Range Rover into three parked cars near Solihull, West Midlands. The Aston Villa midfielder was returning from a part at 4 am in the morning.

The Sun has called Grealish “hypocrite” as Grealish urged his fans to stay home to save lives amidst the coronavirus pandemic.

Jack Grealish

Grealish seemed unsteady and confused moments after he crashed his vehicle. Later, he went on to argue with the onlookers while wearing one black slipper and a white slip-on sandal. He was partying all night at a friend’s apartment despite the lockdown that is in place.

This disgraceful and hypocritical behavior of Grealish has led to United distancing themselves from the midfielders. The Red Devils have a reputation of not tolerating behaviors of players which might bring a bad name to the club.

Thus, United are now looking at another alternative to Grealish. The midfielder has shot himself right in the foot.

Who can be Grealish’s alternative?

James Maddison

United are now interested in Leicester City’s James Maddison. The club was tracking his development for a long time. However, since their primary interest was in Grealish, Maddison’s name came up in the speculations sparsely. However, United have always shown interest in him.

Maddison is a United fan. This factor can help facilitate the transfer. The Red Devils will surely use this factor to their full benefit.

With nine goals and three assists this season, it’s been another productive campaign for the Foxes’ playmaker. The 23-year-old is a creative midfielder with an eye for goal, the profile of player that United wants at the club right now.

If this move materialises, Grealish would really be cursing himself for his inappropriate behaviour
