Manchester United Transfer News: As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United has agreed to a £15m deal to sign left-back Tyrell Malacia from Feyenoord. The promising young full-back was earlier close to signing for Lyon but things have taken a different turn.
The 22-year-old Netherlands International’s agent was in contact with Lyon’s board. Feyenoord had accepted to let Malacia leave for £13m, as provided by the French team.
They were ready to offer them a fee of around £15m which includes £2m in add-ons. However, Manchester United has jumped into the race and has offered a higher price to its parent club.
Currently, United has offered a fee of around £17m which is higher than Lyon’s offer. Feyenoord has accepted United’s proposal and talks are progressing well between the clubs.

New manager Erik Ten Hag has already made his first impression in the current transfer window by convincing the club to go after Frenkie De Jong.
The club’s board is currently in discussions with Barcelona over the final details of the deal. It has been reported that De Jong will sign for United in the coming days for a fee of around £65m.
However, Malacia was rarely linked with a move to Old Trafford. Ten Hag made it no secret that he wants to sign young full-backs this summer. This would help him revamp the slow defense, which is currently at his disposal.
Tyrell Malacia is known for his accurate crosses and pacy runs down the left-hand side. He would be a valuable asset for the team as Luke Shaw has been pretty inconsistent with his performances.
Also, Malacia has been gathering a lot of attention after being called to play for the Netherland’s National Team.
Manchester United News: What Would Tyrell Malacia Bring To The Table For Manchester United?

Tyrell Malacia has played over 130 games for Feyenoord which shows that he has the experience to play regularly. Manchester United currently has Luke Shaw and Alex Telles to command the left-back position.
However, their poor form in the past few seasons has been a sign of concern for the manager. The left-back is one of the most sought-after players due to his rise to stardom at such a young age.
Malacia joined Feyenoord in 2008 and he made his Champions League debut at the age of 18. He possesses a good burst of speed and long runs, such that he can easily disrupt opposition moves.
Due to his height (1.75m) he is able to take longer steps to cover the ground quicker than others. Also, he possesses excellent positional awareness while dealing with fast-wingers. So many positives for the player and also for the manager, as the deal inches closer to completion.
