The Spain international has established himself as among the best midfielders in Serie A since joining the Naples-based club from Real Betis in the summer transfer window of 2018.
He has played 125 Serie A games for the Naples outfit so far, scoring 18 goals. Ruiz helped the Blues win the Coppa Italiana during the 2019-20 season.
The 26-year is also a regular member of the Spanish national team. He has represented his nation 15 times since making his debut in 2015.

According to journalist Ekren Konur, Napoli’s Fabian Ruiz is among the top targets for Manchester United this transfer window. They reportedly contacted his agent recently to make the Spaniard their fourth signing of Erik Ten Hag’s reign.
Ruiz’s current contract at Diego Armando Maradona Stadium will expire at the end of next season. According to the Daily Mail, the Blues are willing to entertain offers in the region of £25 million for the Spain international.
Liverpool and Arsenal have also shown interest in Ruiz at the start of the transfer window. But their interest has faded away in recent weeks.
Signing a new midfielder is among the top priorities for the Manchester-based club this transfer window after losing Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic. Pogba and Matic left Old Trafford for free upon the expiration of their respective contracts on June 30.
Barcelona’s Frenkie de Jong is another midfielder linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent weeks. According to Athletic, the Spanish club have accepted a £75 million plus add-ons offer from the Manchester outfit to sell De Jong.
However, the player is reluctant to move away from Camp Nou, which could scrapper the deal.

Valued at £49.50 million by TransferMarkt, The Spain international is a tenacious footballer who plays his best football when deployed as a defensive midfielder. His biggest strengths are his passing and tackling skills, along with his ability to find the back of the net from a distance.
He played 32 Serie A games last season, scoring seven and assisting four goals. According to WhoScored, he averaged 1.7 tackles, one clearance, 1.3 shots and one key pass per 90 in the league last term. Ruiz also completed 90.5 per cent of his attempted passes in the league.
