After helping Monaco secure Champions League football last season, Fabinho has reportedly become a transfer target at Manchester United. Jose Mourinho could be looking to bolster his squad with the 22-year-old despite having two other right-backs: Antonio Valencia and Matteo Darmian. The 22 year old Monaco right back was an important figure both at the back and also going forward as he featured in 34 league games playing around 3060 minutes on the pitch.

United are known to be an attacking side and have pretty much always had players’ that would influence the attacking play as well as the defensive side. The Monaco right back had scored 6 goals in the league last season and had bagged 4 assists to his name as well.

Some sort of boost in terms of whether the transfer would be difficult in terms of following it through is actually cleared up as The Brazilian’s agent Jorge Mendes had previously helped in bringing players such as David De Gea, Angel Di Maria and Radamel Falcao to Old Trafford.

The Brazilian however, has admitted that he can’t be sure, and he expects to stay with Monaco.

“With the Champions League, it’s not bad staying at Monaco,” Fabinho told L’Equipe.

“I’m not certain of staying, but at the same time, there’s more of a chance of me staying than leaving.”

Manchester United current right-back Valencia has been in an excellent form since the start of this season showing good decent performances both going forward and defending at the back with their expected fullback, Darmian yet to feature for United under Mourinho.
