United is open to offloading Marcos Rojo at £12M and a switch between Boca Juniors and Estudiantes may occur.
Manchester United on loan defender Marcos Rojo currently plays as a defender for the Argentine club Estudiantes. The Red Devils have deemed the Argentine defender as surplus to requirements at Old Trafford. Thus United has opened a bidding war of £12m for the defender. He is likely to make a switch to his homeland this summer. Argentine giants Boca Juniors and Estudiantes are embroiled into the bid.
Ole Gunner Solskjaer has already removed Marcos Rojo from his first-team plan back in January. Thus the out of favor defender was sent on loan back to his country club Estudiantes. Rojo was expected to make a permanent move to Argentina. But as per The Mirror, Argentine giants Boca Juniors have also entered the race to sign their compatriot on a permanent deal.

Rojo had five-and-a-half years of spell at Old Trafford and still has a year left on his current contract. Though the defender has a chance to sign the extension bar United. He was signed from Sporting Lisbon for £16milion. by then manager Louis Van Gaal in 2014.
The talented defender was brought up at the Estudiantes youth system, later on, moved to Europe in 2011. He played for Spartak Moscow for a season. He later moved to Sporting Lisbon in 2012 and moved to United in 2014.
The Argentinean defender has featured in 122 games for United. He has won a FA Cup, one League Cup, and the Europa League. On top of this the 30-year-old has also won the caps 61 times for Argentina. He was also a part of the 2014 Argentinian team that reached the final. But lost to Germany in Rio de Janeiro. He was also a part of the 2018 Argentina squad.
United to put Rojo off the wage bill

United are keen to give away the Argentina international having a fear of losing him for free next year. Rojo has unfortunately played only once for Estudiantes in February since moving back. The knee injury kept him out but he has gained his fitness again.
Under Ole Gunner Solskjaer Rojo appearances were shrinker to just 10 this season. Solskjaer is looking to build up a partnership of Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof at the back completely excluding Marcos Rojo.
Buenos Aires-based Boca has shown interest in signing the talented defender. They have already made an announcement of the no-deal extension of Paraguayan defender Junior Alonso. He is currently on loan at Boca and will leave when his loan deal expires in summer.
Estudiantes have also hinted at keeping the former Spartak Moscow favorite. They have also mentioned they want to keep him in La Plata permanently. United have a good chance to regain the amount spend on the Argentine defender.
