Martinez News: In a time where good strikers are in high demand, Lautaro Martinez has become someone whose name features on everyone’s shortlist. The Argentinian has shown brilliant performances for Inter over the course of the season.
Martinez and Lukaku’s duo was sensational for Inter in their title victory. Inter was not able to repeat the feat as they fell short of their rivals AC Milan by 2 points. But considering the financial trouble at the club, it was still a good result for the season.
Lautaro Martinez was the spearhead of that Inter team and he’s gaining a lot of interest. Chelsea, Tottenham, and Liverpool are 3 English clubs that are in the need of someone like him.
There were rumors of him reuniting with his former boss but it looks like the Argentinian has dismissed all those rumors. As per his latest statement, Lautaro looks set to stay at Inter.

Harry Kane may decide to end his stay with Tottenham and Antonio Konte was hoping that Lautaro could serve as his replacement. Similarly for Chelsea Lukaku hasn’t been in the best of form. Liverpool too is on the brink of losing Mane and Firmino.
Among all these departures Lautaro has become a big target for all these clubs. Although, as per reports from the Mirror, Lautaro wants to extend his stay at Inter Milan.
I’ve not received communications from the club, (but) as of today I want to continue at Inter next season,” Martinez said. Martinez has clear intentions of staying and is hoping for talks of an extension soon.
Inter on the other hand are looking to secure a loan + buy deal for Romelu Lukaku and is trying to reunite the pair that led them to a title. As of now, everything is there for the taking in Italy and the club which reacts quicker will have the advantage.

Almost immediately after moving from Inter Milan to Chelsea, Romelu Lukaku came with a rather emotional conference. The player said that he does not feel good with Chelsea and wants to return to Inter Milan.
Although that was the start of the season Tuchel quickly dismissed any speculation and got Lukaku to focus on football. However, Lukaku did not live up to his price tag on his return to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea right now faces a complex issue on whether to keep him or not. Inter are offering a 1-year loan + buy deal, although given the Blues’ situation they would want a direct buy deal from Inter.
It could work out well for Chelsea too as Inter would bear the burden of Lukaku’s heavy wages. Chelsea on the other hand would get a payment of around £65 million after one year and a portion of their expense for Lukaku would be covered. Although, then Chelsea would be without a proper number 9 this season and will have to look for a replacement.
