Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 was hosted in UAE then also female from Delhi and one Indian player went through the police investigation.
Indian Premier League (IPL) had witnessed lots of controversies in a couple of previous seasons. Though it is the umpire’s wrong decision or any match-fixing situation, IPL always came under the limelight for such acts at least once in the season.
Likewise, during the period of pandemic IPL was hosted out of the country, and the result out in a similar way. All these went through the police investigation also like all the things revealed by the player. But the report was out after the end of the season and before commencing the 2021 season.
Before then, a similar thing happened like spot-fixing and match-fixing. As a result, two prolific teams Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) ruled out of the tournament for two consecutive years.
Therefore, the full scenario is not yet disclosed about IPL 2020 match-fixing report. But they had revealed that one player who played for the Indian team before and a nurse from Delhi is involved in this case. Both of them went through a police investigation.

What was the IPL 2020 match-fixing report?
IPL 2020 match-fixing case was filed by BCCI to Anti Corruption Unit (ACU). BCCI mentioned that female from Delhi trying to do the misuse her relation with an Indian player. She tried to gather internal information from the team to win the fantasy game.
Everyone knows the favor between the fans for fantasy games during the tournaments like IPL. These women also become the victim of the same fantasy game on the internet and use to make the money via winning the games.
She was linked with one of the Indian players who played before in the national team. Both of them are in contact since 2017 via social media platforms like Instagram. Female tried to ask the internal information like playing XI of the team for getting the benefit in fantasy.
Whereas, a player did not answer such questions asked by his social media friend. As he informed directly to the BCCI regarding such Instagram chat and board handed this case to Anti Corruption Unit and both of them called off the inquiry.

Further, it was cleared that no one is in contact with that woman for such match-fixing activity. So ACU chief told that there will not be any further inquiry continued for this situation arisen after the season. Because it didn’t lead to any misconceptions in the future so the case would be closed.
While talking to Indian Express Ajit Singh ACU chief said, “The player had reported to us during the IPL. We investigated it, and for now, we have closed the investigation. The accused woman bet unprofessionally and doesn’t have connections with any unauthorised syndicates. No other leads were found.”
IPL 2021 auction date released

Recently, BCCI announced the auction date for the IPL 2021 seasons which will be hosted in India itself. They told that the auction will be held on 11th February 2021 and asked all the teams to submit their retention player list along with exit players list before 20th January 2021.
