Match Preview: Manchester United vs Hull City, As Mourinho Looks To Remain Unbeaten In The Premier League

Manchester United will face off against Hull City is all set to go down at the KCOM stadium, as both teams come into the game with two out of two wins. The Tigers began their campaign with two successive wins, and although this is just the initial stage and a lot of other teams have managed to win two out of two, it is obviously a bigger deal for Hull City as they were slated as one of the underdogs.

Internally, however, things are not perfect for them. The proposed takeover of their team by a Chinese company is still being negotiated and they have only 13 senior players fit with lesser than a week left for the transfer window to close. Now, the Tigers have to face-off against Manchester United, having already seen off defending champions Leicester City and Swansea City.

Manchester United have had the best start so far, under Jose Mourinho, but it still remains to be seen how they fare against bigger teams. So far, they enjoyed easy victories over Bournemouth and Southampton, giving the fans something to cheer about after a long time.

Although people might argue that opening fixtures of the Red Devils weren’t challenging enough, they key to remember is that they did not play half as well against the same teams last season. The United supporters have a lot of reasons to cheer about – all the new signings have performed well and the team look increasingly well-rounded as the games progress.

  • Rooney leads the way in terms of goals scored with seven in his last five, but United will be without two men who have scored four of the club’s last six goals against City, as Robin van Persieand James Wilson have since departed.
