The 21-year-old midfielder has made some new comments regarding his exit from Arsenal. Matteo was seen to fall apart from Mikel Arteta’s rebuild of the north London side after a dirty clash with Neal Maupay. And soon was sent on a season-long loan to Hertha Berlin.
The Frenchman was a regular in Arsenal’s midfield until his clash with the Brighton forward. Guendouzi was seen exchanging comments with Maupay and ultimately holding on to the forward’s neck as well. This did create a pretty big scene even after the game.
Mikel Arteta was keen to hear an apology from the youngster’s side. But Matteo was reluctant to do so, forcing Arteta to keep him out of his lineup. The manager is not to blame for the situation as he demands discipline from his squad. And not showing respect will have diverse effects.
In the case of Matteo, we saw him fall out of Arteta’s pecking order. And was a no sight in all of Arsenal’s games post the incident. The Gunners did also try to ship the youngster off in the summer window. But with no genuine suitors sent him on a loan to Hertha Berlin.

Guendouzi not keen to make a return.
Matteo Guendouzi was seen making certain comments recently reflecting on his position at Arsenal. The French midfielder did not seem too keen to make a return to Emirates Stadium after the end of his loan spell. It seems as though he has certain other plans in his mind.
“I played over 80 games there and had a good, intense time there.” -Matteo Guendouzi to Kicker.
Joining Arsenal back in 2018, Matteo acknowledges that the club was a big lesson for him. But considering the recent mishaps, it seems like he is done with his time there. Guendouzi did mention that his time there was intense and good when it was.
Matteo Guendouzi still has a couple more years left on his contract with the Gunners. But with both the club and the player showing interest in parting ways, we may see him make a jump next transfer window. There were multiple interests for the youngster this window as well, but nothing fell into place.
With interest from PSG, Barcelona, and many other elites, Guendouzi is likely to make a shift next transfer window. Also with Arsenal bringing in Thomas Partey on transfer deadline day. The Gunners will have Guendouzi surplus to their requirements.
Arsenal hope to get things under control

Mikel Arteta and co have not been a solid goal-scoring side this season. Well, it’s one of the worst seasons for Arsenal in terms of goals. Arteta is hoping to fix the issue soon by making a few twerks in his lineup.
Arsenal currently places 11th in the PL table and are facing Manchester United next. The Spaniard is focusing on putting forward a good fight against the Red Devils. Starting the season off really well, Arsenal lost the last two games to total three losses.
Mikel Arteta will be hoping for a positive result for his side. Also, Arteta considering changing up his frontline. Arsenal was able to resolve their goal shortage by scoring 3 against Dundaik in the Europa League. Arteta will be keen to keep that level in their clash against United as well.
