Moises Caicedo race heats up as West Ham, Brighton joins the party

Ecuadorian midfielder is on top of the market talks in England as the transfer market is open

Moises Caicedo is just 19 years old and stunned the football scouts of Europe with an impressive profile this season. The central midfielder is wish listed by major sides of the Premier League including Lampard’s Chelsea. The latest reports from the premier league included West Ham and Brighton in the race for the young blood from Ecuador.

The Independiente Del Valle management hasn’t replied to the updates and media houses of London reports confirm the exchange of some formal offers to Latin America. Earlier, Old Trafford was active in the rumors with Caicedo but the latest updates from Express reports fading of chance for Red Devils.

West Ham United and Brighton & Hove Albion now seem to close down with the deal. Among them, it is thought that Seagulls have a good relationship with Independiente del Valle thanks to the pleasant dealings over the sale of Billy Arce. Left-winger Billy Arce joined Brighton in 2018 from Independiente del Valle. He played a couple of seasons on loam in Ecuador and joined back Seagulls last month.

With such a link, Brighton is one step ahead of Everton and West Ham. Hammers even formalized the offer and sends some serious messages to Independiente del Valle. The Transfermarkt reports a €5 million base price for the star which is quite convincing for premier league sides for such a talent.

What Premier League demands?

Teams including Chelsea and Manchester United are looking for new recruits in the midfield as most of the major sides are facing issues in the middle order. In the case of Seagulls and Hammers, a 19-year-old defensive midfielder can satisfy the long term intentions of the teams.

The quality with the ball and taking up the possession in the midfield is something that Latin American talents can ensure on the field. The transfer market is heating up and big teams can still win the race. A premier league launch for a first-class career is a dream for the teenager. Other major European leagues are also looking at the profile of Moises Caicedo.

The player has a contract with the Ecuadorian side till 2024 and dispatching him to Europe is not a big deal for the European financial outlook of teams. But more demand will increase the money race as Independiente del Valle still remain silent.

Moises Caicedo featured 14 games in Serie A Primera Etapa with 2 goals and an assist. The season stat marks 338 playing minutes in 31 games across the top competitions including Copa Libertadores. Playing in Europe’s elite league will eventually shape him into one of the best central midfielders on the planet.

Transfer speculations define a rough framework for Caicedo’s case and he is one of the young options that January window reported as of now.

The fight between West Ham and Brighton is the latest plot and both teams are struggling at the table. Hammers are looking for a jump to the first half of the table and Seagulls are struggling at the bottom half.
