Mourinho was sacked by Manchester United after they were beaten by arch-rivals Liverpool.
The Special One is returning, to coach again, it seems. TeleLombardia journalist Davide Russo de Cerame has tweeted that Jose Mourinho will hold a meeting with Italian club Inter Milan’s Directoer Beppe Marotta.
Jose Mourinho was sacked after United continued their dismal run in the Premier League. However, it seems like Mourinho will be returning to coaching a club where he has achieved memorable feats.
Inter Milan are currently third in the points table with 40 points but trail Juventus, the league leaders by 20 points. They have only garnered just a point from their previous three Serie A fixtures which leave them just four points ahead of fourth-placed AC Milan.

However, it remains to be seen if he will finally join Inter Milan. If their current gaffer Luciano Spalletti can direct Inter Milan to Champions League qualification and deliver a string of impressive performances in the remainder of the campaign , it might hinder Mourinho’s chances of coaching the side again, though.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are riding high on confidence under Ole Gunnar and are unbeaten under their caretaker manager. With players who didn’t shine during Mourinho’s tenure shining, the Red Devils are eyeing a Champions League qualification this season.
Manchester United are just two points behind fourth placed Chelsea in the league, a feat that looked highly unlikely to be achieved during Mourinho’s stint. Should lose against Manchester City in their Premier League game and United win against Fulham, it will take the Red Devils to the fourth place.
Author’s Take
While Manchester United are relishing their performance under Ole Gunnar, the Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho might be looking to relish something after his bitter tenure with Manchester United.
If he joins Inter Milan, it will give Mourinho a chance to silence his criticizers and do what he has always special at; winning trophies and is there a better place to start that run than at Inter Milan, where he, in 2010, won a treble?
