Jose Mourinho wants to bring Isco to Manchester United before Manchester City get their hands on the Spaniard
Isco has been unsettled at the Santiago Bernabeu because of a lack of game time. Despite being a fan favourite, he has failed to win over Zinedine Zidane who more often than not overlooks him for the important games. Several Premier League clubs are chasing the 25-year-old including the likes of Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool.

Now, Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United have also thrown their hat in the ring according to Don Balon. The Portuguese is fearful that if Manchester City manages to lure him to the Etihad then they will become unstoppable. Consequently, he wants the United board to their best to bring Isco to Old Trafford.
The Cityzens are firm favourites for the signatures of Isco despite having options aplenty in the attacking midfield role. They already have David Silva, Bernardo Silva and Kevin De Bruyn but Pep Guardiola wants another playmaker.
Manchester United had a fruitful January transfer window. They managed to bring in Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal when Manchester City seemed to be his preferred destination and were also successful in getting rid of Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Mourinho has now ordered the club officials to go after Isco. Apart from getting one over their local rivals, he feels that arrival of Isco will also help in getting the best out of Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic, whose performances have dipped in recent games.
Isco’s talent cannot be kept shackled for too long. He has spent the majority of his Real Madrid career playing as a second fiddle to a star forward. It is about time he gets his due. While he will have a lot of competition at Manchester City, working under Pep Guardiola would be a great opportunity for the 25-year-old. Manchester United, on the hand, can guarantee him more regular game time. However, Mourinho hasn’t been known as the one to bring the best out of his attacking players.
