LeBron James is not like other people. He is now one of the best basketball players in history because he played for so long and accomplished so much. At the age of 38, he broke Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s record is now one of the best basketball players in history because he played for so long and accomplished so much. LeBron is the only player who has played above the age of 37 and averaged 29 points per game.
At 6 feet 9 inches, James is almost impossible to stop on the court because he is quick, explosive, and strong. He can score whenever he wants, get through any defense, and post up big players on the other team. But every so often, a defensive player will succeed in stopping even James. But players like James make it possible for new talent to move up.
One such obstacle for Andrew Wiggins was LeBron. The young Warriors player asked his more experienced teammate, Andre Iguodala, how to beat LBJ. Iguodala knew at that point that Wiggins was one of a kind. Andre Iguodala helped Andrew Wiggins get better at defending LeBron James after the young player asked for help.
Andre Iguodala has been with the Warriors for a long time. He has won four championships with the team and was even named Most Valuable Player for the Finals in NBA. During the fierce rivalry between the Warriors and the Cavaliers, Iguodala was one of the most fierce defenders for the Warriors. He was one of the few people who could defend LeBron James well. Because of this, it made sense for Wiggins to ask him for help.
Andre Iguodala told Shannon Sharpe on Club Shay Shay that he thought it was cool that Wiggins came to him for help. When the veteran saw Wiggins’ talent, he set up a mentoring relationship with him right away. Andre said that he and Andrew Wiggins had become good friends since then.

Andre Iguodala Told Shannon Sharpe That He Thought It Was Cool That Wiggins Came to Him for Help

“I recall one of our first games against the Lakers,” said Andre Iguodala. Early in the season, we played against LeBron. Andrew Wiggins pulled me aside and said, “I need some advice on how to defend LeBron.” I said, “Well, sh*t, he’s listening.” I like players like this. I know a guy is paying attention when he asks me questions. From that point on, Wiggs and I got along great.
During the regular season, James and Wiggins have played each other 18 times. Only five of the 18 times that Wiggins’ team played did they win. Even though this shows that LeBron has done better against Wiggins’ team, it doesn’t immediately make his performance worse.

Wiggins has been able to average 21.4 points per game against LeBron James and his team while making at least 2.6 three-pointers per game with a 47.9% success rate. To sum up, Wiggins has done very well even though he has been up against a living legend.
Andrew Wiggins is getting better at defense every season, so it is safe to say that he will soon be one of the best two-way players. He might be able to stop LeBron James for good one day. But that day has not yet come. When LeBron has played Wiggins in the past, he has scored 56 points and 31 points. In each of these games, James also had a double-double. Wiggins will have to rely on more than Andre Iguodala’s coaching for the King James defense to work well.
