On Sunday, the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Golden State Warriors 113-105. This defeat ruined Stephen Curry’s return to court. Anthony Davis scored a game-high 39 points leading the Lakers to victory. Meanwhile, Dennis Schroder and Troy Brown hit clutch threes in a victory.
Steph Curry led the Warriors with 27 points in the 32 minutes he played. It was despite missing 11 consecutive games due to a partly torn ligament in his left knee. There was a time when 1:14 was remaining and the Warriors were down by four. Curry then had a wide-open look at a 3-pointer. However, he squandered it which you didn’t expect him to miss.
A 20-point first-quarter deficit was completely overcome by the Warriors. After Anthony Lamb’s 3-pointer with 5:37 remaining, the Lakers were even with them at 91.
Anthony Davis‘ had a backup that came through in the clutch in the absence of LeBron James and D’Angelo Russell. The 3-pointer shot from Schroder and Brown helped to spark a 10-2 run. That shots gave the Lakers a 101-93 lead with 3:38 remaining on the clock.
The Lakers had a 15-point lead after one quarter. However, this lead was long gone by the end of the 2nd quarter. Both sides scored in the third quarter. Although Stephen Curry found his shooting touch in the 4th quarter. As he made his way back from injury, 34-year-old Curry scored 19 of his 27 points in the 4th quarter.

Warriors’ wrath is averted by Anthony Davis for the Lakers
Golden State was the heavy favorite to win this battle against the Lakers. It was assumed due to their current five-game winning run. It also includes the fact that James and D’Angelo Russell are sidelined for the foreseeable future. Meanwhile, Curry returns from an absence of 11 games.
Before Klay Thompson’s three-pointer with under two minutes to go, the Lakers held a nine-point lead in the fourth quarter.
Austin Reaves (16 points), Troy Brown Jr. (14), Malik Beasley (12 points), and Jarred Vanderbilt (11 points) joined Davis in the Lakers’ double-digit scoring total (10). Thompson scored 22 points that were important. However, Draymond Green had 15, Donte DiVincenzo had 11, and Jordan Poole hit 10 for the Warriors.
With fewer than 50 seconds to go, Davis made two clutch free throws. He also hit a critical jump shot after Curry missed a wide-open three-pointer. Golden State Warriors started playing the foul game after missing several jumpers. However, the Lakers made all of their free throws attempts to win the game.
