Joel Embiid almost forced OT by making a long-range shot from the middle of the court. Replays revealed that he released the ball after time expired, giving Boston Celtics a 110-107 victory.

Although Joel Embiid exploded for 41 points, 12 rebounds, five assists, and three blocks while shooting 57.1% from the field, Jayson Tatum collected 18 points and 13 rebounds.

Joel Embiid put on a monster effort, scoring a game-high 41 points, but Boston was able to hold on. After Tatum’s triple, he fired an errant three-quarter court shot, but it was obvious that he didn’t release the ball until the final buzzer.

Yet, it required the individual brilliance of their opposing team’s standout Jayson Tatum to secure the victory for his squad. Tatum made one of the smoothest NBA pull-up clutch 3-pointers.
