Cunningham has missed the team’s previous six games while suffering from pain in his left shin. It looks that the damage has worsened beyond what was previously anticipated. The Pistons believe that Cunningham’s discomfort is the result of a “hairline stress fracture in his shin,” according to sources.
The Pistons organization is considering all of its options in light of the current circumstances. That includes preventing Cunningham from playing for “a major portion” of the season. With game averages of 19.9 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 6.0 assists, Cunningham had a good start.
Shams Charania, an NBA insider, stated on “FanDuel TV” that the Pistons are exploring all of their possibilities. Charania revealed that Detroit is considering rest or surgery, both of which would require him to miss a significant amount of time.
They’re actually considering having him rest for an extended length of time or have surgery, which would keep him out of action for a large portion of this season. According to a tweet from FanDuel TV, Charania stated.
