This past Monday, he restated his viewpoint and continued to assert that the voters’ racial intolerance was the driving force behind Joker’s victory in the MVP competition. As a result, Charles Barkley’s comments were broadcast without any kind of filtration.
JJ Redick was able to stop both Perkins and the ESPN-driven narrative in their tracks when he immediately addressed Perkins during the First Take segment. Sir Charles took the topic to the appropriate place with people like Perk if the former Philadelphia assassin hadn’t spoken enough already.
