NBA commentators have mentioned a number of Lakers who may be useful to other clubs, with Stephen A. Smith even mentioning LeBron James. According to the ESPN analyst, James is the Lakers’ most valuable player and they should consider dealing with him.
However, as predicted, rumors about possible Lakers additions have begun to circulate. NBA executives believe the Lakers have some good players outside of James and Anthony Davis, according to Sean Deveny of Heavy.
Two league executives feel Talen Horton-Tucker has worth, according to the writer, and some clubs will be willing to negotiate a possible deal. According to the Western Conference coach,

“I believe Talen did not get to where everyone expected him to be in a timely manner. He is, however, 21 years old. He is a member of the Los Angeles Lakers, where growth is not a priority. “But I believe most of us would gladly welcome him to our squad. He’s tall and long (6-foot-4) and can handle the ball and launch offenses. He’ll be a solid defender even if he isn’t there yet. He is valuable.”
THT had some worth, according to the Eastern Conference insider, who also mentioned Kendrick Nunn.

NBA News: Despite major signings, the Lakers had a disastrous season
Russell Westbrook joining the Lakers was perhaps the biggest deal of the 2021 offseason. Fans had great expectations, believing that the all-time triple-double leader would aid Los Angeles in their quest for a championship.
Unfortunately, Westbrook’s season was one of the worst in the recent decade. He didn’t mesh well with LeBron James and Anthony Davis, and he may have succumbed to the strain of playing for the Lakers.
Because of his high contract and the lack of interest from other clubs, the Lakers may be stuck with him for another season. While Westbrook has flaws, he is a fantastic point guard who can still help the Lakers win.
Before the season begins on Oct. 18, the Lakers will have the entire summer to figure out how to set up their roster.
