While it is too early to dismiss the Mavericks, Steph Curry and the Warriors are the favorites to win the series and maybe the championship. The Mavs have come a long way and will be aiming to stake their claim. As they have in every postseason series thus far.
The Mavericks’ Game 1 loss, according to ESPN analyst Kevin Wildes, is irrelevant. After seeing the Mavs rally from a 2-0 disadvantage against the Phoenix Suns, Wildes feels it would be foolish to dismiss them.

He admitted that Doncic’s performance against the Suns continues to haunt him, as he is traumatized by the point guard’s and the team’s tenacity. He also stated that the 23-year-facial old’s cut made him scared for what was to come in his future appearances.
“My Luka experience in Phoenix has damaged me,” Wildes added. “I was thinking, ‘Oh! The Suns are 11-0 versus the Mavs!’ We’re OK.” Steve Kerr is 19-1 in the first game. It’s no longer relevant. NBA News: Will the Dallas Mavericks beat the Golden State Warriors in Game 2?
On Friday night, the Golden State Warriors will host Game 2 against the Dallas Mavericks. However, the American Airlines Center in Dallas will host Games 3 and 4 on Sunday and Tuesday, respectively.
The Mavs are used to coming back from deficits and winning series. That was the situation in the first round against the Utah Jazz and the second round against the Phoenix Suns. They’ve been predicted to make the series much tougher for the Warriors, making them a far more challenging opponent than the Memphis Grizzlies.

Kevin Wildes and a few other pundits feel the club has a chance to win Game 2. Meanwhile, it is not impossible, the Warriors will aim to win both home games and compete on the road.
The Warriors have shown to be highly dangerous with one of the greatest collections of shooters in the league. Moreover, Curry, Klay Thompson, and Jordan Poole could all make plays, but the Mavericks rely completely on moves centered around the 2019 Rookie of the Year.
While this may appear to be a flaw in their strategy if Doncic is closely guarded, the three-time All-Star has proven time and time again that he is unguardable.
