The Chicago Bulls and LA Lakers have been connected, particularly if the latter begins to rebuild as a result of their shaky start to the season. Recent reports have suggested that DeMar DeRozan would eventually suit up for the Lakers.
Jonathan Adams of Heavy Sports claims that the Lakers are now the favourites to sign DeMar DeRozan. According to the most recent odds, the Lakers have +200 chances of signing the five-time All-Star. Adams mentioned these numbers. Other teams mentioned as possible destinations for the Bulls star are the Miami Heat, Boston Celtics, Dallas Mavericks, and Memphis Grizzlies.
This season, DeMar DeRozan is averaging 25.9 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 4.7 assists. With a 13-18 record, the Bulls are now 11th in the Eastern Conference standings, but they have been terrible.
DeMar DeRozan came very close to joining the LA Lakers before deciding to sign with the Chicago Bulls in the 2021 summer. According to Sporting News, the San Antonio Spurs attempted to negotiate a sign-and-trade deal, and DeMar DeRozan even had a few meetings with LeBron James.

However, the Lakers chose to trade DeMar DeRozan for the former MVP when Russell Westbrook became available. Last year, it didn’t work out for the Lakers, but DeMar DeRozan blossomed into an MVP contender for the Bulls.
According to the most recent speculations, if Chicago doesn’t make any progress by the deadline of February 9 then they may begin the process of rebuilding. DeMar DeRozan, Nikola Vucevic, and Zach LaVine are just a few of the intriguing players on the Bulls that might pique the curiosity of other clubs.
Zach LaVine wants a trade to the Los Angeles Lakers
Not only DeMar DeRozan but several Chicago Bulls players have been mentioned in connection with the LA Lakers. Zach LaVine wants to be moved to the Lakers. An executive who wishes to remain unnamed told Sean Deveney of Heavy Sports. The executive emphasised LaVine’s ties to UCLA and his representation by Klutch Sports.
The executive said, “LaVine wants to go to the Lakers, and that has been quite evident for a while. He must be in Los Angeles, according to the agencies. He attended UCLA, and last summer there was considerable scuttlebutt over his contract. to prepare the way if things took a turn for the worse, which is what it seems they are.”
LaVine and the Bulls are at odds, according to recent reports from Shams Charania and Darnell Mayberry of The Athletic. Several of his teammates had an argument in the locker room over LaVine’s defense.
The first year of the two-time All-five-year, Star’s $215 million contract with the Bulls that he signed last summer is now underway. It seems like the Lakers would have to spend a lot to get someone like LaVine.
