Draymond Green said that a courtside Washington Wizards fan’s insults inspired him to play his best, saying:
“All of our teammates, including our coaches, heard the player on the bench or at the baseline talking, and they all said, ‘Draymond, shut him up.’ Not only I benefited from that. It seemed like everyone ate up that. Salutations to the person.”
Draymond Green expanded on the remarks made by the Washington Wizards fan, adding:
“You believe you’re a Hall of Famer? he continued asking. You best not say it to me ever again. I’ve been like that, too, my brother. Avoid doing that. As they say, sometimes you just have to let a sleeping dog rest. He ought to have just allowed me to stay put. It was absent. I value it since it wasn’t here.”
Washington Wizards Fans have vigorously questioned Draymond Green’s Hall of Fame eligibility because his accomplishments and numbers paint two very different pictures. His 8.7 points, 6.9 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 1.4 steals, and 1.0 blocks per game career numbers would be on the low end for a Hall of Fame player, but they do not fully convey Green’s total worth.

The star of the Golden State Warriors admitted that he is aware he might not retire with the only team he has ever played for. The Warriors might end up spending more than $500 million on their roster between player salaries and their luxury tax burden if Draymond Green exercises his player option. Although he is crucial to the franchise’s operations, they will need to determine whether they think another player can take over his duties for a lot less money.
