The reigning champions of the NBA are not having the season that they had envisioned for themselves as they attempt to defend their crown. The Warriors have competed in 33 contests and are sitting in 11th place with a record of 15-18 at the moment.
There are still a number of weeks that need to pass before Stephen Curry can make a full recovery from his injury. The group has not shown the same kind of response to Draymond Green that it previously did.
Both the team that will finish first and the team that will finish seventh in the extremely contested Western Conference have the same number of wins. In the time that it takes for Curry to recuperate from his shoulder injury, the Warriors intend to keep fighting and stay competitive.
Draymond Green doesn’t even have the same worries that other people might have about the Warriors’ ability to have a great finish to the season, even though those same doubts might be held by other people. This season, up to this point, Stephen Curry has been putting on a show for everyone. If things continue the way they are, the Warriors won’t be able to repeat their previous achievements.
Things could turn out differently, however, if the team is able to adjust and find a way to be successful even without Steph on the court.
If the club is successful even without Stephen Curry and continues to use the same techniques when Stephen Curry returns, the other players might even help Stephen Curry out by taking some of the pressure off of him. The Dodgers still have 49 games on their schedule, so it’s a gigantic if at this point. A lot could happen in that amount of time.
