Gilbert Arenas gave the impression that there may have been a leak coming from within the Warriors organization. He offered support for his comments by outlining the manner in which the team manages all activity related to the media at the location where they practice.
According to Draymond Green, the Grizzlies are not a competition for the Golden State Warriors. Draymond Green made this statement after his team won at the Chase Center against the Grizzlies: “I think the word rivalry gets slung about too freely these days.” There is a rivalry between the Lakers and the Celtics. Draymond Green’s words are in line with those of Ja Morant, the standout point guard for the Grizzlies, who has stated on multiple occasions in the past few months that there is no rivalry between the two teams, and Green’s comments are also in line with Morant’s statements.
However, the Warriors were obviously trying to get Morant to backtrack on his comments from the previous week when he said he was only thinking about the Celtics and not any other Western Conference teams. In other words, the Warriors wanted Morant to say that he was only thinking about the Celtics. Draymond Green also voiced his appreciation for the heated environment that the lack of competition had fostered.
