Michael Jordan is among the best basketball players. The Bulls legend has received numerous honors. He earned numerous awards, including five NBA MVPs, six NBA Finals MVPs, and six NBA titles. Also, he had a significant role in the NBA’s globalization. We’ve all heard tales of MJ’s devotion to the sport, tenacious pursuit of victories, and lethal attitude. He was the greatest of all time because of these characteristics. His teammates, however, didn’t like him because of these characteristics.
None other than Horace Grant is one such colleague. Grant spent seven seasons with the Bulls after being selected in the same draft as Scottie Pippen. He received a lot of abuse from the GOAT throughout that time, along with three championships, an All-Star selection, and three wins.
The Final Dance, a documentary series by Michael Jordan that was centered on the 1997–98 Chicago Bulls, was released in 2020. The entire incident was captured on video during the final year of the dynasty.
Shannon Sharpe was approached by Horace Grant when the same was made available. A rumor was circulating at the time about Michael Jordan turning down the opportunity to serve Horace Grant supper on a trip because Grant had played poorly. Speaking about the same, Grant told Shannon of further activities MJ used to engage in.
“Sharpe, I can assure you that did occur.” He touched the flight attendant as they were feeding us and stated, “He doesn’t eat because he plays like poop.”

Ho exclaimed, “F you, Mike,” and rose up. and returned to confront Mike after a colleague advised him against it. He and MJ had fought multiple times in the past. Horace claimed that it began the moment he arrived. He explained to me that Mike would ride you every day, all day, all the time, if I did not confront him.
That does resemble Michael Jordan’s style of play. He did everything to help his comrades perform to their highest potential. Who are we to judge when it did win him six championships despite being unconventional?
While Last Dance allowed Michael Jordan to reveal a different side of himself to the public, it did not do good for his relationships with people from his past. A lot of Scottie Pippen’s old teammates weren’t happy with how His Airness had portrayed them on the show.
Although it was supposed to be a documentary about the 1997–98 Chicago Bulls, Jordan ended up getting most of the attention, which was entirely MJ’s fault given that he had editorial control. He couldn’t have been more patronizing if he had tried, as Pippen even claimed in his autobiography.
